About this site

This blog exists because making Septaluna generates two kinds of surplus: development notes nobody asked for, and lore that didn't fit in the game. You'll find both here.

The devlogs cover the unglamorous parts of building a narrative adventure as a solo developer — design decisions, technical detours, the occasional existential crisis about dialogue trees.

The lore drops are pieces of the Septaluna universe that ended up on the cutting room floor. Background noise that got too interesting to discard. The kind of thing that makes a world feel like it exists when nobody's playing.

Septaluna is a sci-fi adventure about Nell — a hacker trying to find out what happened to her brother after the military decided his disappearance wasn't worth investigating. It's emotionally earnest and occasionally absurd, somewhere between Detroit: Become Human and Monkey Island. Wishlist it on Steam.

Written by Seb, with Rob handling the emotional support, the spreadsheets, and everything else that would otherwise derail a perfectly good narrative adventure.
